Commissions
Isabella offers commissions on a case-by-case basis, or on an open-roll basis, which will be announced via social media. Her commission abilities vary from custom tattoo designs to educational pamphlets and signage, and her multimedia ability offers a wide variety of options for interested buyers.
Isabella is also available for reptile and amphibian enclosure commissions on a case-by-case, local-only basis.
Education
She attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, earning an interdisciplinary bachelors degree in Urban Environmental Studies. She is proficient in Adobe Photoshop CC, as well as Illustrator.
Isabella is also an accredited Master Herpetologist, with additional certifications in Captive Husbandry. With a background in animal care spanning 10+ years, she draws experience from commercial husbandry to laboratory husbandry, and everything in between.
Experience
Isabella has been doing art for as long as she can remember, and has been selling art for about ten years. She has worked with hundreds of clients, as well as with local governmental agencies and companies to produce educational artwork and lesson plans.
Her experience working with animals is vast, ranging from large hoofstock to birds and reptiles. Her main passion lies in exhibit and enclosure design.
About Me
Isabella Canovas is a multimedia artist, educator, outdoors-woman, and animal keeper who was born and resides in Virginia. Her passion lies in compassionate and well-rounded public education through animal exhibit design, programming, and husbandry.
She is also skilled in outdoor education and recreational education, and has earned certificates in teaching canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding. She is an avid equestrian, birdwatcher, and scientific illustrator.
She is excited to continue her career as an animal keeper and exhibit artist, and hopes to educate future generations to foster a positive relationship with the environment through environmental education.
